This project was done as a member of (Forever) KIND.

So far, I’ve helped TikTok create and hold four bespoke events. These include Creator (Business to Consumer) events for Pride and Black History Month, as well as B2B dinners featuring guest speeches and performances from Cat Burns and David Olusoga.

VIP Dinner November 2023

This was potentially my favourite event to work on. The visual package, that I helped create, was inspired by TikTok’s versatility and peak/late Z and early Alpha’s obsession with slime-like 3D phone wallpapers.

I also attended the event at Shoreditch Arts Club, where Maddi (@cripandip) curated her own “girl dinner” menu including the most gorgeous roast beef boat canapés, Sam Ryder gave business audiences a video message to promote his eventually-successful Christmas song, and Cat Burns delivered an unplugged four-set performance – before getting essentially stranded looking for a cab!

Creator Event: Black History Month 2023

Another event that I helped art direct, taking inspiration from the patio lunch scene from the movie Chocolat.

While I did edit the lovely video on the left, I essentially couldn’t attend the event. The venue in Deptford could only fit my bosses into the event space – and even they felt overwhelmed by the end!

Creator Event: Pride 2023

Very little of my ideas saw the light of day on this, but I did put a literal helping hand into setting up and documenting this event at Bistrotheque.

At the venue, I opened up most of the giftboxes that creators received at the party. Even though I somehow missed his presence when I left early (I was shooting Lipsync that day), I am forever grateful that Jack Remmington came into contact with my hand germs.

VIP Dinner May 2023

The main success of my first event for TikTok was creating a Eurovision-inspired cocktail menu, as the event was being held in Liverpool around that time and TikTok just happened to be the digital sponsor.

Eurovision also caused me to leave the party early and miss David Olusoga in conversation, but being part of setup for the first time was an absolute dream.
